A strange invitation
Emma did not speak Armadillo, but the creature’s body language wasn’t hard to pick up on.
Its constant nudges against her leg and ongoing stares into the forest where the other animals had just emerged from. Emma’s instinct told her that this animal wanted her to go in there for some reason.
