Trying to communicate
Emma stared, her heart pounding. She knew armadillos didn’t act like this. It was as if they were trying to communicate with her, to tell her something urgent.
She watched as the large armadillo pressed its head against her leg again, nudging her gently, guiding her to look toward the woods ahead of them.
