A half circle
The armadillos moved with purpose, forming a wide half-circle around Emma and her new companion. For a moment, she felt stuck in the center of something much bigger than herself.
Then, as if on cue, the animals began to squeal together, their voices rising and falling in an odd, coordinated pattern that felt almost meaningful.
