Emma moved closer and zoomed in with her phone. The brown, almost scaly fibers covering the object were now clearer.
They didn’t look like any plant, animal, or even man-made material she had ever seen before. The details only made her feel more uneasy, her thoughts spinning as she watched the protruding tip closely.
