Phone Call Challenge
I dialed Daniel’s number, tapping my foot as the phone rang. ‘Hey, it’s Melissa. Can we talk? There’s something you haven’t told me,’ I said, trying to keep steady.
My words had stuck in the air between us. He hesitated on the other end, but then agreed to meet. ‘Okay, let’s meet somewhere public,’ Daniel replied, uncertainty coloring his voice.
I hung up, the conversation lingering in my mind.
