Back at Robert’s
I returned to Robert’s store, curious about his strong reaction to the ring. ‘Hey, Robert,’ I began as I walked in, trying to keep my tone light.
‘Can you tell me why you seemed so surprised the first time?’ Robert looked up from his workbench, a thoughtful expression crossing his face.
‘Well, there’s something unique about it, that’s for sure,’ he said, glancing at the ring with a flicker of familiarity in his eyes.
