Stepping Outside for Clarity
After leaving the clothing store, I decided it was time to head back to Robert’s and see about the ring appraisal.
The sun was dipping lower in the sky, casting long shadows on the sidewalk. Everything seemed surreal, as if the whole world was waiting for Robert’s verdict.
I couldn’t shake the excitement mixed with apprehension inside me. Thoughts of leaving the ring with the jeweler lingered as I walked toward the shop.
