The Observation
Amanda continued her visits to the café, each time choosing a different spot to observe unnoticed. She saw John and Emily chatting, sometimes laughing together. The ease of their interactions bothered her. One day, she overheard part of their conversation. “You always brighten my day, Emily,” John said, and Emily’s laughter rang out in response.
Amanda’s doubts grew stronger. Was this just a harmless friendship, or something more? She had to be sure before making any assumptions.
