A New Protocol
Six months later, Mark’s home is finally back to normal. The traps are empty. The midnight kitchen trips are no longer terrifying. But Mark has a new rule in the house: The “No Squish” policy. He has educated the whole family on what to do if they see an intruder.
He bought a “bug vacuum” specifically for this purpose. It sits charged in the utility closet, ready for action. He also sealed the gaps around the pipes under the sink with steel wool (roaches can’t chew through steel wool) and expanding foam. He fortified his castle against the siege.
