Warning Signs to Watch For
It took three months for Mark’s house to be declared fully “clear.” He learned to recognize the subtle signs of infestation. Small black droppings that look like coffee grounds or pepper? That’s roach poop. A musty, oily smell in the pantry? That’s roach pheromones.
If you see one roach during the day, it usually means the nest is so full they are being pushed out into the open. That is a critical warning sign. Cockroaches prefer the dark; seeing them in sunlight means the population has outgrown its hiding spots and you have a major problem on your hands.
