The Flush Method
If you don’t have a vacuum handy, the next best thing is a paper towel—but use it to *grab*, not squash. Pick it up gently, squeeze tight only once you have it contained in the paper, and flush it down the toilet. The toilet is the only 100% guarantee. They cannot swim back up the S-bend.
Sticky traps are also excellent because they catch the roach and hold it. If a female lays eggs while stuck on the glue trap, the babies hatch onto the glue and are instantly trapped too. It effectively ends the bloodline. It might look gross to have a trap full of bugs, but it’s the most effective way to stop the cycle.
