Jim Dale is an English actor, composer, director, narrator, singer, and songwriter in the United Kingdom. He is known as a pop singer of the 1950s who became a leading actor at the National Theatre and became one of the regulars in the Carry On films in the British film world.
Dale lives in New York with his wife, who owns a Madison Avenue Art Gallery. Jim once held a Guinness World Record for the number of voices he created for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. He was last awarded in 2011 The Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album for Children.
