Dame Joan Henrietta Collins, aka Joan Collins, is an English actress and author who was born on May 23, 1933. Collins has bagged numerous awards, including a Golden Globe, a People’s Choice Award, two Soap Opera Digest Awards. She signed a contract with 20th Century Fox in 1955 and played “Elizabeth Raleigh” in The Virgin Queen and “Princess Nellifer” in Land of the Pharaohs.
It is also believed that her outstanding portrayal of “Alexis Colby” was the primary reason behind the tremendous success of the show titled Dynasty. It also became the No.1 show in the US. Joan earned a Golden Globe nomination six times for her work in Dynasty.
