Kirk Wise is a prominent face in the Hollywood industry. Along with being a talented film director, he is also a screenwriter and animator. Wise was born on August 24, 1963, in San Francisco, California.
In 1982, he joined Disney as an apprentice animator and eventually worked his way up to directing feature-length animated films.
Some of his most famous works include “The Little Mermaid,” “Beauty and the Beast,” and “The Lion King.” He has received numerous awards for his work over the years, including two Academy Awards. Recently, he announced that he was retiring from full-time filmmaking but would continue to consult on projects.
