Sandie Shaw is a retired British singer and a psychotherapist. She ruled the British music industry in the 1960s with three U.K. number one singles. Her song Puppet On A String became the first British song to have entered the Eurovision Song Contest. The melodious singer announced her retirement in 2013.
The singer was born in England and obtained her education from Robert Clack Technical School in Dagenham, and right after she finished school, she started working at a factory and as a part-time model. The talented voice was first noticed by Adam Faith, who later introduced her to the world of music.
