Despite this mishap, the “Mary Poppins” star revealed that he bought another Jaguar not long after the incident. A 2013 Jaguar XJ had a base price of $74,075, so he might have paid something around that figure.
Jaguars are not prone to catching fire, so Van Dyke’s accident was quite mysterious. Either way, he must have learned to prioritize a top-notch alarm system and fire extinguisher for his next wheels!
