Oprah Winfrey – Volkswagen Beetle, $30K
Oprah Winfrey has done several memorable things on her famous show. One of such moments was when she donated 275 Volkswagen Beetles to her audience in 2010. The cars were the 2012 Beetle version, so the audience members had to wait until they were released.
When the Beetle was released in 2011, it reportedly cost as much as $30K. This means Winfrey must have given away an equivalent of $8.2 million! It’s not known whether she paid for the vehicles all from her pocket or if she even got one herself, but there’s no denying that she could afford to do any of those things if she wanted to.
