Paul McCartney – 1964 Aston Martin DB5, $1.1 Million
The Beatles hit the height of their fame in the ‘60s, and it was during that era that their bandleader Paul McCartney supposedly got his Aston Martin DB5. The DB5 is a world-famous car for many reasons—it was used in one of the first James Bond movies, then the fact that McCartney drove it also boosted its star status.
The whip was sold at an auction for $1.1 million in 2017, an incredible difference from the £3,800 ($2,789 in today’s rates) it was worth in 1964. The multiple Grammy Award winner never went off the grid, he released a remix album titled “McCartney III Imagined” in 2021.
