New York native and United States Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, also known by her initials AOC, has been representing the 14th congressional district of New York since 2019. The Democrat who has previously dragged Tesla for not giving tax returns to American taxpayers happens to also own a Tesla Model 3 vehicle.
When the 2020 pandemic made commuting to DC from New York difficult, she purchased her first electric vehicle. The Tesla model she owns can travel long distances, so she makes her 228-mile DC trip on a single charge. She must have spent around $35K, which is what her model sells for.
