I had a guy who would ring up dine-in orders with five sodas, which were the amount that the people ordered, but then before they cashed out, he would remove all but one or two of them and would pocket the difference. He would give the customers the first copy, and since, of course, that’s what they ordered, they never said anything.

When he realized they would be paying cash, he’d change it. I only realized it after he was fired.
