Piano icon and singer Alicia Keys is here to prove that no one needs makeup to look red carpet ready. Over five years ago, in 2016, Keys decided to really kick the no-makeup trend into high gear: she decided to stop wearing cosmetics altogether. That’s right! While some questioned whether it would work, there’s now no question: Keys rocks the look!
Soon enough, Keys explained her decision in an article she wrote for the online magazine Lenny Letter. “Every time I left the house, I would be worried if I didn’t put on makeup – what if someone wanted a picture? What if they POSTED it?” the singer wrote. “[It was] based too much on what other people thought of me.”
