Julia Louis-Dreyfus captured the hearts of audiences everywhere during the 1990s thanks to the TV credits she had earned appearing on Seinfeld as catalog writer Elaine Benes and on Veep as politician and U.S. President Selina Meyer. The New York native was noted for her skillful maneuvering of the art of comedy.
There is no stopping Louis-Dreyfus even until today. Shortly before appearing on Veep, she was the star of the cable sitcom The New Adventures of Old Christine, portraying self-centered single mother Christine Campbell. The Northwestern University alumnus takes credit for receiving the most Primetime Emmy awards as a lead actress.
