The 1990s saw Winona Ryder at her peak as an actress, taking credit for her captivating performances in movies like Edward Scissorhands, Reality Bites, Mermaids, and Girl, Interrupted. Her portrayal of May Welland, the love interest of Daniel Day-Lewis’ rich attorney Newland Archer in The Age of Innocence, got her the 1993 Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress.
Ryder was once engaged to fellow A-lister Johnny Depp, but their engagement fell through. She later dated fashion designer Scott Mackinlay Hahn and is still with him to this day. She got her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2000.
