Everyday Routines Continue
Life carried on as we awaited the results. Emily and I slipped back into our normal routines. We’d go grocery shopping, fold laundry, and chat about the day’s events.
Our talks were filled with laughter, though occasionally, the weight of the unknown lingered. ‘Do you think I’ll have siblings?
‘ Emily would wonder aloud. ‘Maybe,’ I’d reply, ‘but remember, you already have me.’ Those moments reminded us that no matter what surfaced, our bond was unbreakable.
