Eventually, Paula made her way to the makeup chair, her movements stiff and reluctant. As the makeup artist approached, her discomfort was evident; she shifted uneasily, her usual haughty demeanor replaced by a visible wariness.
“Just a light touch-up, please,” she murmured, barely hiding her anxiety as she glanced in the mirror, then quickly away.
