With a plan forming, I decided to involve Liam. ‘How about Liam mentors you?’ I suggested. ‘He’s good at this stuff.
‘ Lily looked over at Liam, who smiled in that easy-going way of his. ‘I’m here if you need me,’ he said.
She nodded slowly, like someone finding a foothold. Hopefully, having some guidance would help Lily channel her energy into something positive.
