A small detail on the ring proves that Lucy was rigth
Janet quickly pulls off the ring, eager to prove her daughter wrong. They move to the study, where Lucy flicks on the desk lamp so that they can see the ring properly.
It takes them a while to find it, but then… Both Janet and Lucy suck in a breath. The underside of the purple stone is nicked, and misses a small part.
Mother and daughter look up from the ring. With silver lining her eyes, Janet says; “You were right”
