The mother and daughter go out to get their mind off things
Deciding they needed a break, Lucy and Janet set out for a day of shopping and lunch. They wandered through their favorite stores, laughing and trying on clothes.
At lunch, they shared stories and jokes, letting the investigation fade into the background for a while.
“This was needed,” Janet admitted, enjoying their mother-daughter time. It was a pleasant distraction from the puzzle of the ring.
