Lucy ends up buying a small detective kit for them
The following day, Lucy sets a package down on the kitchen table. “What’s that?” Janet asks, sadness and exhaustion visible on her face.
“This,” Lucy says with a flourish. “Is ‘Operation Find The Truth About The Ring!” She pulls out several test kits, a magnifying glass, a plaid hat, and a pipe.
It’s all very English Detective, but thankfully, it puts a smile back on her mother’s face. “Alright then,” Janet says.
“Let’s figure it out”
