Morning visit
The next morning, Robert decided to check on the family. He picked up some breakfast from a nearby café—hot coffee, sandwiches, and orange juice.
Entering the garage, he found Sarah and her kids still asleep. He gently knocked on the door. Sarah woke up, looking disoriented at first but then recognizing Robert.
“Good morning. I brought you some breakfast,” he said, handing her the food.
