Sarah’s gratitude seemed genuine. “I don’t know how to thank you enough,” she said, looking directly into Robert’s eyes.
“Just take care of the kids,” Robert replied. Her sincere tone and kind eyes made him feel somewhat more secure.
Gathering her thoughts, she added, “We’ve had a rough journey, but this kindness gives us hope.” Robert nodded and thought, maybe he made the right call after all.
