Behind the mist
As the small boat cut through the choppy water, a thick bank of mist suddenly rose up ahead, shrouding everything in pale gray.
For a moment, Jake and Wilson could barely see beyond the bow. Then, like something out of a dream, the island slowly emerged, rising out of the fog with silent grandeur.
