Ben leaned closer, squinting into the dim space. For a second, he thought one of the eggs shifted slightly, nudged from behind. But the air was still, no breeze to blame.
He blinked, holding his breath. Nothing else moved. Ben shook his head, muttering, “Probably my eyes playing tricks.” Still, the image stuck with him.
