John and Mark watched as the team assessed the situation. One of the officers approached the car. “You’re the homeowner?” he asked. John nodded. “Yeah, and I really need that thing out of my house.” The officer gave a reassuring nod. “We’ll take care of it. Stay in the car, and don’t come inside.”
