At the Hippos
Finally, the enclosure came into view. A massive glass wall built into rocky surroundings held a large pool stretching behind it. A few visitors pointed at the hippos drifting lazily under the surface.
Julia’s face lit up. “They’re so cute!” she said, rushing closer. David followed, swallowing hard. This was the place. He knew it was time. He couldn’t wait longer.
