In the early hours, he had a vivid dream of being in the woods as a child. The trees were tall and foreboding, their shadows long and dark.
Jake felt small and vulnerable, yet there was a sense of familiarity to the place. The dream was so real he could almost feel the leaves crunching under his feet and the cool breeze on his face.
