Documents on the table
Detective Harris had a folder of documents spread out before him on the table. “We’ve been looking into the case you brought to us,”
Harris began. He opened the folder, revealing photographs and papers that looked worn with age. Jake leaned in, trying to make out the details.
The detective’s serious expression told Jake that whatever was in that folder was important, perhaps the key to unraveling the entire mystery.
