Visiting the local library
Determined to solve the mystery, Jake visited the local library the next day. He entered the quiet building, its musty smell of old books surrounding him.
He approached the librarian at the desk. “Can you help me find records of missing families from about thirty years ago?” he asked.
The librarian nodded and led him to a section of archived newspapers and public records. Jake thanked her and began his search, hoping for a breakthrough.
