Noticing something unusual
Suddenly, one of the rangers noticed something unusual: the gorillas were setting up a trap in the water.
‘Look at that,’ he exclaimed softly, pointing. Elliot squinted to see better. Sure enough, he could see the gorillas arranging sticks and stones in a deliberate pattern.
‘What are they planning?’ another ranger wondered aloud. The realization struck them all at once: these gorillas were smarter and more organized than anyone had anticipated.
