Following the trail
Elliot led the rangers carefully, pointing out the spots where he had hidden and escaped. ‘I hid behind that boulder over there,’ he said, gesturing to a large rock.
The rangers nodded, noting the terrain and any natural cover that could be useful. Slowly but surely, they made their way to the riverbank.
The eerie feeling from before crept back into Elliot’s mind, but he pushed it aside, focusing on the task at hand.
