Picking up the pace
Elliot picked up his pace, eager to reach the source of the voices and find help. His muscles burned with exertion, but he pushed through the pain.
The trail became slightly clearer, lending him some confidence that he was heading in the right direction. The voices grew louder, more distinct.
He could make out snippets of conversation. With each step, the hope of rescue became more tangible.
