Police arrive
Two tall, broad men in uniform stepped out of the police car and approached Matthew, who was crying. They asked if he was alright, but it was just politeness.
Almost immediately, they requested the bag of evidence. When Matthew asked if they knew more, they said they had found a lead to the car’s former owner.
