Shifting through belongings
While Alex and the lawyer shifted through her old belongings, she noticed Alex’s impatience growing.
Each item pulled from the boxes seemed to annoy him more. “These are just old photos,” he muttered under his breath, rifling through years of memories.
She tried to help, offering mementos she thought might give him some context. “I’m sure there’s something here worth keeping,”
she said, but Alex’s frustration only seemed to mount with each passing minute.
