Alone and Unsure
In the aftermath of the confrontation, I found myself alone again. My breath formed small clouds in the cold morning air as I tried to make sense of it all.

Anxiety twisted my stomach, and I paced my porch, feeling frustrated and a bit helpless. This was more than just an odd encounter; it was personal now.
What would come next? How could things possibly go back to normal after what just happened? I needed to brace myself.
