Knocking on doors
Not giving up easily, Mary knocked on a few neighbors’ doors to gather more information. After a few unanswered doorbells, an elderly woman finally opened her door a crack.
‘Excuse me, I’m from the local shelter. I’m trying to learn more about the Andersons and their dog,’ Mary explained.
The woman seemed wary but mentioned she had heard some strange noises and dogs crying frequently from the house.
