Revisiting the neighbor
Mary decided to revisit the neighbor who mentioned the noises to get more specific details. After knocking on a few doors, the elderly woman answered again.
‘Hello, it’s Mary from the shelter,’ she started. The neighbor nodded in recognition. ‘I need to ask about the people you saw visiting the Anderson house,’ Mary continued.
The woman’s eyes narrowed, but she let Mary in to talk. ‘There was one man I saw frequently,’ the neighbor began.
