The man who answered her request didn’t look thrilled. Izzy could tell he wasn’t buying their story—not yet. She had to play her part perfectly.
“We’re part of a marine life research team,” she explained cheerfully. “You’re in an ideal location for a migration study.” She added some technical jargon for good measure.
