A Teacher Asked Her Students to Draw Her Portrait — The Results Were Unforgettable

The Yearly Tradition

The portrait project became a yearly tradition in Mrs. Higgins’ class. Every year, new third graders would come in, having heard the legends of the “Giant Nose” and “Robot Teacher.”

They looked forward to the day they got to roast their teacher with crayons. Mrs. Higgins looked forward to it too. She knew she’d need thick skin and a good sense of humor, but the resulting belly laughs were always worth it. It became a rite of passage for her students.
