Mrs. Higgins didn’t hide the drawings away after the fame died down. She laminated every single one of them.
She created a permanent “Wall of Fame” in the back of the classroom. The centerpieces were, of course, “Mrs. Coffee” and “The Giant Nose.” It became a talking point for parents on open house night and a source of constant amusement for anyone who entered the room.
