The “Angry” Eyes
Just when she thought she’d seen it all, she turned over a drawing that stopped her laughter for a second. In this portrait, Mrs. Higgins had fiery red eyes and jagged lines coming out of her head.
“Oh my,” she said, wiping her eyes. “Am I… angry here?” The student shook his head seriously. “No. That was yesterday when Kyle spilled the paint water. You got the ‘Quiet Face’ but your eyes looked like volcanoes inside.” It was a sobering reminder that even when she thought she was hiding her frustration, these little detectives saw everything. They were documenting her emotional states with terrifying accuracy.
